Traditional Chen Family Tai Chi

Chen Family Tai Chi was created about 350 years ago and is the original source of all major Tai Chi styles extant today. Chen style is becoming very popular for its dynamic balance of fast and slow, hard and soft, spiraling movements and for the cultivation of tranquility with explosive power. The training curriculum of this "internal" martial art provides a wealth of health and personal benefits, including improvements in: posture, balance, strength, flexibility, awareness, self-confidence, stress control, tension release and much more. We offer a comprehensive program of instruction in Traditional Chen Family Tai Chi Chuan as taught by our teachers Master Guo Lei and Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei. We hope to provide students in the UW community with fundamental training and guidance as well as opportunities to deepen training through workshops with Grandmaster Chen Zhenglei, Guo Lei, and other highly skilled coaches.
