Gamma Mu Shelter to initiate new "dry" policy, effective Summer 2000

The Gamma Mu Chapter Rainbow Society (House Corp.), last month, unanimously voted to initiate a new "dry house" policy to help further enhance the physical condition of the undergraduate shelter, chapter grades, and the overall safety and comfortability of it's undergraduate membership. This historic decision was based largely on current local and national fraternity trends and current Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity colonization standards as well as the new "vision and direction" for the Gamma Mu Chapter established at this year's Western Pacific Divisional Conference in Tempe, AZ.

The new policy will begin immediately following the end of Spring Quarter 2000 at which point no consumption or storage of alcohol on the Gamma Mu Chapter property will be allowed and will follow through the next school year.

While Delta Tau Delta International Fraternity has exemplified itself time and again as a leader in the fraternity world with it's renowned chapter programming such as Delts Talking About Alchohol (DTAA) and it's travelling Chapter Consultant Program, the Gamma Mu Rainbow Society, the undergraduate membership, and the Alumni Chapter Advisors felt that this was the best time to take this new course of action.

Any questions, comments, or concerns should be directed to Mike P. Nelson and Jeremy Wilson.

Fraternally,
