Parent and Alumnae Presentation Reception - September 23, 6:30pm
This year we are starting a new tradition that goes along with Presentation - we will be having a brief reception prior to Presentation for alumnae and the parents of new members. This is a wonderful opportunity for alumnae to give parents an idea of what it truly means to be an Alpha Xi Delta and answer any questions they might have about the sorority experience. All alumnae attending are also invited to stay for Presentation and the dessert reception to follow. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Erin Shields, Public Relations Vice President, at ehs3@u.washington.edu.

Alumnae Aunts Revealing – October 15, 1pm
This is the day when our fabulous Alumnae Aunts will at last meet their amazing Nu Nieces! The events of the day are *top secret* and will be distributed to Alumnae Aunts via e-mail. If you are interested in participating in the program next year, be sure to check out the Alumnae Aunts section of this page.

Pickle Mix – November 7, 7pm
One of our oldest traditions here at Nu chapter is Pickle Mix, an annual auction hosted by our alumnae which raises money for a number of collegiate scholarships. This event started during the Depression when family members used to bring food to their daughters (pickles were an abundant donation). Now we get together each year with our alumnae to relish the moment!

Alumnae Newsletter

Each quarter the Public Relations Council works to put together a newsletter for alumnae that details what is happening at the house and how they can be involved.

The alumnae newsletter is distributed through the Greater Seattle Alumnae Association mailing list, so make sure that you are signed up to receive it via e-mail (contact Laila Collins at laila.collins@comcast.net to be added to the list)

Alumnae Aunts

The first year that a member joins Alpha Xi Delta she chooses her Big Sis. In her second year each member is matched up with an alumna (based on everything from personality to career interests) through the Alumnae Aunts program. This program allows “Nu Nieces” to discuss life beyond college and how to make the most of their college years with someone who has been through it all.

All Alumnae Aunts and Nu Nieces for 2005 have already been matched up, though we will certainly need more Alumnae Aunts for 2006!

Whether you attended the University of Washington or the University of Nebraska, whether you graduated two years ago or forty years ago, we would love to have you be an Alumna Aunt!

If you are interested in being an Alumna Aunt in 2006, contact Terri Roush, Alumnae Aunts program coordinator, at terriroush@hotmail.com.
