Two $1,000 research grants will be awarded to an undergraduate and graduate student who are currently enrolled in the School of Environmental and Forest Sciences at the University of Washington. These grants are based on merit and financial need with the intention that the funds are used for research activities and equipment purchases. The only requirement to apply is that you are a student in SEFS.

PROPOSALS EXCEEDING 3 PAGES (excluding references) OR WHICH DO NOT FOLLOW THE FORMATTING GUIDELINES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Please email xsp@uw.edu with any questions.
Here is a brief summary of what the application packet should include. See the “Guidelines” and “Rubric” links above for a more detailed explanation:
1. Resume no longer than 2 pages. See guidelines for specifics.
2. Letter of recommendation from your advisor, committee member, or an influential faculty member. The author must email the letter to xsp@uw.edu before 5:00 p.m. on May 6th 2019.
3. Current unofficial transcript.
4. Proposal of research. Please see guidelines for formatting instructions.
