Hello Huskies!

Let us be one of the first to welcome you to fall 2014. The beginning of the school year is always an exciting time: a whole new year filled with new classes, people and experiences. Here at WashPIRG, the 2014-2015 school year is shaping up to be pretty awesome. We’ve got a new blog (ta-da!), new campaigns, and a lot of cool opportunities for students, both new and returning. A few highlights:

• This week: Check us out at the Student Activities Fair, Sept. 24 and 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Red Square. We’ll have a booth, free swag, photos of our previous campaigns, and more info about what’s in store for this year. Plus, we have our first meeting tonight, Sept. 24, at 6 p.m. on the first floor of the HUB. 
• Internships! Been searching for an internship to boost your resume or fill up free time? Interested in meaningful work on important social issues? We’ve got you covered. Find out more here, and be sure to drop in for intern info sessions every night this week in Odegaard Undergraduate Library Rm. 317 at 5 p.m., Sept. 24-26.
• Volunteering opportunities. Lots of problems need solving, that’s why we tackle multiple campaigns a year dealing with a range of issues. Whether we’re cleaning up local water or helping students get registered to vote, there’s always a chance to volunteer. Interested? E-mail us at washpirg@uw.edu.
