Becoming a member of the Society affiliates you with the world's pre-eminent student society. As a member, you can get involved in the Society's numerous national programs, gain exposure to professional development, leadership development, educational and networking opportunities unparalleled by any other professional experience on college campuses today.
An added benefit of membership in the Society is the opportunity to travel to great cities across the country to participate in the National Conference, the National Assembly and Regional Activities. Also, as a member you will also get a reduced membership fee under the PRSSA-Associate member program, paying only $60, as opposed to the normal $115 for someone with less than a year PR experience.
Because the PRSSA is a National organization, the application process is based around a semester system. We are only allowed to submit applications twice a year (typically late October and late February) but will accept them year-round. Keep in mind that your annual membership and the associated benefits will not start until we submit your application.
PRSSA National has recently announced an increase in dues. As such, we have found it necessary to increase our membership fee as well to $70. I realize this is quite steep, but realize that most of the money goes to your dues and not the club’s treasury.
