Burmanet Archives - Past digests of Burma news from wire-services, Thai newspapers and sources around the world. Particularly good if you know the date of the news you are searching for.

Mizzima- Specializing in Burma-related news and multimedia. Established in August 1998 by a group of Burmese journalists in exile.

Avaaz - Empowers ordinary people from every corner of the globe to directly contact key global decision-makers, corporations, and the media.

Community Partners International- The largest U.S.-based humanitarian nonprofit dedicated to the people of Burma.

The Mae Tao Clinic- Founded and directed by Dr. Cynthia Maung to provide free health care for refugees, migrnat workers, and others who cross the border from Burma to Thailand.

The Free Burma Rangers - A multi-ethnic humanitarian service movement bringing help, hope and love to people in the war zones of Burma. Ethnic pro-democracy groups send teams to be trained, supplied and sent into the areas under attack to provide emergency assistance and human rights documentation.
