The WASMUN Secretariat is responsible for organizing and running the Washington State Model United Nations Conference. Secretariat members are students and alumni from the University of Washington. The Secretariat plans and prepares materials and activities for the conference and oversees the activities during the conference.

WASMUN Founders:

In the Spring of the year 2000, this founding group came together to organize what would be the first Washington State Model UN at the University of Washington. The first WASMUN conference was hosted on March 29-31, 2001 by the UW students at the UW with an attendance of over 275 high school students representing twenty-two high schools from Washington State.
