There are many important aspects of running a successful chapter, and fundraising is one of the most important. The money raised allows us to engage in a variety of different events, from adopting families, to feeding the homeless, to putting on workshops to make our campus and surrounding community aware of important issues, to providing scholarships to aid in the advancement of our Latino Community, and last but not least, to make charitable donations to individuals and organizations in need. Some of our fundraisers include raffles, working at sports events, partnering up with local business (i.e., La Puerta Mexican Restaurant) to provide University District residents discounted meals where all discounted proceeds go to our group, Brown Bag Lunches, and our annual Enchilada Feast. All year we look forward to attending workshops, national events, and meetings in other areas of the country. Fundraising helps our desire to attend many of the events listed previously a REALITY.
