Initiation Banquet:

During the spring quarter of 2005, the class of 2007 had their Rho Chi initiation banquet. The class of 2006 Rho Chi officers hosted the event at the South Center building on the UW campus.

Fall Quarter Event Planning:

Vice President, Elena Meeker, graciously offered to host our first Rho Chi gathering. We discussed possible activities for the quarter as well as having the opportunity to socialize with wine and cheese. One of the new activites that we discussed was the production of an antibiotics table to aid in studying for the therapeutics exam. We provided this free of charge to our class mates. The table can be found under the links section of our website.

CV workshop:

This year's CV workshop was a success yet again. Many students attended this event and benefited from Dr Hagel's expertise.

Winter Quarter Event Planning

Winter quarter's gathering was held at Chris Shaffner's home. We talked about possible events for the quarter as well as enjoyed some food and drink prepared by Chris.

Gameworks:

In March 2006, Rho Chi members attended GameWorks in Seattle. This is an annual Rho Chi social event. We had dinner together and then enjoyed playing some of the games. Unfortunately, this year Doug managed to escape without attempting the Dance machine, Dance Revolutions. Chris Schaffner and others, however, were caught in the act.

Health Fair:

Every two years, Rho Chi is responsible for organizing a pharmacy health fair at the UW open house. This event is primarily attended by members of the public and high school students. We provided information regaring the profession of pharmacy, blood pressure, and cholesterol.

Trail Cleaning:

A new event that occured this year is the WTA trail cleaning for Rho Chi students and other pharmacy students. Doug Black, our advisor also attended. Everone who went had a great time and the group managed to forge 0.5 km of new trail!
