Club Information

Husky Winter Sports has been an organized club on the University of Washington since 1937. For nearly 60 years, it has been a great way to meet new people, enjoy the ski season, and learn new skills. Members form lifetime friendships between each other and students creating long-lasting memories of having fun in the mountains.

HWS also provides a certification program. New members receive many opportunities such as instructor clinics and feedback to hone teaching and skiing/riding skills. Before exam day, several review sessions outline important concepts and material. Eventually, members can become fully-certified Level I, II, and III PSIA/AASI instructors.
