The vision of all Habitat for Humanity organizations around the world is “a world where everyone has a decent place to live.” The Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter at the University of Washington seeks to strengthen this mission by creating ties between the University community and Habitat for Humanity. We wish to promote all three aspects of Habitat's goals: Advocacy, Volunteering, and Donation on the University of Washington campus. We often receive comments about student having wanted to participated or having actually participated with Habitat prior to coming to UW, and we want to make that transition inviting and constructive.
Habitat for Humanity at the University of Washington is a non-profit, secular affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, which falls under the umbrella of the Seattle-King County Habitat Chapter. We renew our membership with the International Organization on an annual basis, as well as renewing our membership as a club at the University of Washington. Our leadership communicates directly with members of the Seattle-King County organization for quick access to builds and volunteering opportunities for our student members.
