About the European Student Conference

From February 13 to February 14, 2015, eighty undergraduate and graduate students from US universities gathered at Yale University to discuss the future of the European Union, their personal contribution to a more successful Union, and the creation of a student think-tank for EU policies and affairs in the United States. Together, they founded this new think-tank called European Horizons.

The overall goals of the annual conference are for students:

Our report will provide you with more detailed insights about the European Student Conference 2015. The twenty-two policy-papers drafted at the conference are compiled in the first edition of the Review of European & Transatlantic Affairs (RETA).

Students discussed and refined these policy visions together with policy-makers from the EU, renowned scholars, and other representatives of EU institutions, business and politics. These advisors also worked with students on how to utilize "European Horizons" to strengthen the debate and commitment to the EU at American universities.
