Letter From the Editor

As the new academic year begins, the Silverfish editors (Cadi, Anne, and I) would like to welcome all of the incoming students to the iSchool!  Returning iPeeps, we trust you had a fun and/or productive summer and welcome you back for another year.

This issue of Silverfish is geared towards introducing the new students to the iSchool, UW, and the U-District.  Check out our articles about important campus locations, student organizations, and places to eat.  But that's not all!  Also featured: opportunities for outdoor adventures, accounts of iSchool students' summer experiences (which span the globe from Hawaii to Seattle to the Netherlands), book reviews, poetry, and an essay about loving books in the age of Library 2.0.  Discover that--and more--in the Autumn issue of Silverfish.  Enjoy!
