Tracks

Build practical XR experiences on Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest with clear daily value.

Track Philosophy

Both tracks share the same core objective: ship a useful demo or feature that improves everyday life for people using XR devices regularly.

Teams are encouraged to focus on a small, realistic scope and demonstrate exactly who the project helps, what problem it solves, and why the interaction model is appropriate for XR.

Apple Vision Pro Track

Build with AVP in mind, emphasizing high-fidelity clarity, gaze-based interaction, and seamless multitasking.

Examples of strong project ideas:

  • Productivity widgets and micro-tools
  • Context-aware utility panels
  • Simple tools that integrate into the user's shared space.

Strong submissions utilize AVP's high-fidelity passthrough and gaze interactions effectively.

Meta Quest Track

Build practical, controller-based experiences that emphasize ergonomic comfort, spatial mapping, and active utility.

Examples of strong project ideas:

  • Mixed Reality apps that use spatial anchors to incorporate physical environments
  • Collaboration or learning workflow helpers
  • Apps that use the Quest's precise controllers for technical interactions.

Strong submissions utilize Quest's mobility and controllers effectively.

Project Priorities

Utility + Innovation

Projects should focus on practical solutions with a clear use case and thoughtful novelty.

User Experience

Strong UX decisions, understandable flows, and focused scope will help teams stand out.

Platform Synergy

Strong projects leverage the hardware capabilities of the chosen platform to solve a specific use case.

Project Voting

Projects will be voted on democratically by participants. Each participant will select their top 3 projects, and points will be assigned by rank. Participants may not vote for their own project.

Winners will be chosen by the total number of points.
