Our Mission

Every Muslim student in the Allen School should feel seen, valued, and supported.

MiCSE is dedicated to fostering community, belonging, and support around the experiences of Muslim students in computing. We foster a space where students can connect over shared faith and identity while navigating academic and professional life in tech. Through mentorship, social events, and networking opportunities, we aim to support Muslim students’ success and belonging in CSE, while welcoming allies who want to learn and engage with our community.

Membership, events, and all MiCSE programming are open to all UW students, regardless of religion, background, or identity.

We run events all quarter — socials, study nights, career panels, and community iftars during Ramadan.

Muslims in CSE quarterly events: Coffee & Connections, Hackathon, Red Bull Social, Tech Career Panel, Ice Cream Sundae Social, and Study & Fuel for Finals.
