"What does a partnership with AVELA look like?"

By working with AVELA, partners can provide their students the opportunity to engage in hands-on STEM projects tthat will expose them to research fields and a myriad of technical concepts. Our goal is to inspire students to continue pursuing their interests in STEM during and after high school. Younger students from Seattle’s underserved communities will be able to interact with current UW students, many of whom are leaders in student groups like The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) , The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and more. Our members will share their experiences on building effective study habits, navigating the college application process, and other academic and career advice.
