Past Events

UW Student Sight Savers holds approximately one glaucoma screening event per quarter with ophthalmologists from the Eye Institute as well as optometrists. Our group is affiliated with the national Student Sight Savers program sponsored by Friends of the Congressional Glaucoma Foundation.

The glaucoma screening events have been held at the Ventanilla de Salud (Fall quarter), Mt. Zion Church (Winter quarter), and during the Latina Health Fair (Spring quarter).

The screenings are free for the general public. Ophthalmology faculty, residents, optometrists, and medical students are welcome to volunteer at these events.
