Created in September 2011, the Society of Collegiate Magicians (informally known as Magic Club) is an organization for magicians and mentalists who are also students at the University of Washington. Its founder and current president, Perry Church, created the society as a way for magicians to network and exchange constructive criticism. Anyone passionate about the art of magic or mentalism can join, and members range from paid professionals to casual hobbyists.
Members of SCM frequently perform on campus, and those with professional experience are frequently hired to perform at other organizations' events. Notable past clients include the American Heart Association and the Resident Hall Student Association.
