The Business & Economic Development Center Leadership Team (BEDC LT) is both an influential student organization and a student division to the BEDC. Students nominated to be a part of the BEDC Leadership Team are ones who illustrate exceptional leadership skills, within their strategy consulting teams, in the Marketing 445 course offered exclusively in winter quarters at the UW Business School.
The purpose of the Business & Economic Development Center, BEDC is to promote an unparalleled educational opportunity within the University of Washington?s Business School by letting students apply skills learned in the classroom to small businesses in economically distressed communities. The BEDC realizes that, although work done in the classroom is essential for an undergraduate business major, a student can only become well rounded after having gained valuable real-life experience. The BEDC seeks to provide students of business with real-world skills not found in other areas of college education.
