organization that brings together the people, the tradition and customs, and
the spirit that enables our American Indian/Alaskan Native medical students
to maintain their sense of community. The student organization has
expanded to include native students in other health fields and faculty
interested in lending support and information.
National Medical Association
The NMA promotes the collective interests of physicians and patients of
African descent. We carry out this mission by serving as the collective
voice of physicians of African descent and as a leading force for parity in
medicine, elimination of health disparities, and promotion of optimal
health.

American Mentoring Network
The AAMN is a network of physicians, residents, and students who meet
regularly to support one another and provide a social/professional network
for people new to the area.

Association of Pre-Health Students
MAPS represents the undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students of SNMA.
Maps members are considered national associate members and make up about one
third of SNMA's 5000 count membership.
People of Color Against AIDS
Network
POCAAN is a multi-cultural AIDS prevention organization created in response
to the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS has on communities of color.
In WA, POCAAN brings people of color together across different races,
gender, class and sexual orientation to achieve its mission.
