of you may have already heard, but a new law took effect this year on
Jan 1st in Seattle (and other surrounding cities) that imposes a $0.20
fee to EACH disposable plastic or paper bag dispensed at your local
grocery, convenience and drug stores. Help support the
environment and Rho Chi by purchasing a UWSOP reusable grocery
bag! These bags are super durable and can fit more than a regular
disposable plastic or paper grocery bag (see pics below).

Happy Hour @ College Inn Friday, Jan. 16, 2009 CV Presentation October 17, 2008 Two current pharmacy residents and Janet Kelly, the pharmacy residency director at UWMC, presented information about preparing a Curriculum Vitae and helpful tips regarding residency applications & interviews. UW Health Sciences Open House April 25-26th, 2008 Friday: 9am-5pm Saturday: 10am-4pm PCLC in T-wing Every two years, Rho Chi is responsible for organizing a pharmacy health/information fair at the UW Health Sciences Open House. This was a joint effort with UPPOW, LKS, Kappa Psi, PLS, and ASCP Big Climb for Leukemia March 16th, 2008 Columbia Center, Seattle Linsey Fu and Luke Siegrist along with Advisor, Doug Black participated in this annual event to raise awareness & money for leukemia research PAST FUNDRAISERS Raffle November 1st-30th, 2007 One of our members generously donated a time-share portion consisting of a 3-night stay in a condo at Sun Peaks Resort in Kamloops, Canada, as teh prize for a raffle. Tickets were sold at teh annual WSPA meeting, UWSOP ALumni Brunch, & to the pharmacy school staff, faculty, and students. All 200 tickets were sold. The winner of the raffle was Karan Dawson, one of our school's well-known faculty members. |
