Lending a helping hand

As Huskies at the University of Washington, we are fortunate to be surrounded by the busy and rich environment of Seattle. But the crowded city environment also offers a glimpse of the medically underserved population. Homeless individuals can be seen on every street from the University District to Pike Place--and it is our goal to help. Our projects focus on raising awareness about medically underserved communities in the Greater Seattle area and the barriers they face in accessing care. As part of this mission, we help build connections between UW students and these communities through volunteer involvement. In addition, we regularly conduct donation drives for the underserved–whether they be food, clothing, books, or other essentials. To date, we have helped thousands of individuals and families in the Greater Seattle area, and every day, we plan to reach out to even more. Please consider joining us in our efforts--anyone can help make a difference.
