What is Brain Awareness Week?

Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is a worldwide campaign initiated by the Society for Neuroscience and Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives.  Its aim is to advance public awareness about the progress and benefits of neuroscience research.  Each year, we collaborate with Dr. Eric Chudler to organize an open house for hundreds of local children and their teachers.  Our interactive exhibits are designed to engage K-12 students while teaching them key concepts about the brain.

One lecture.

Forty interactive exhibits.

Hundreds of students inspired.
