Introduction

Welcome to the home page of the award-winning UW Chapter of the American Water Resources Association (AWRA).

The American Water Resources Association is a national organization whose mission is "to promote understanding of water resources and related issues by providing a multidisciplinary forum for education, professional development and information exchange." Professionals in Washington State participate in AWRA with their own State Chapter. The UW Student Chapter is supported by the State Chapter, and acts as a bridge between students and professionals working in water related fields, including frequent mixers and fellowships.

The primary objective of the UW Student Chapter is to draw together students that are interested in water resources and related issues. The Student Chapter is open to all colleges and departments of the UW. Our strength lies in the interdisciplinary communication that we can provide, and we encourage people from all fields to come and participate. The interaction among students is facilitated by events sponsored by the Student Chapter, so we invite you to come join us on any and all of these occasions and see what we're all about.
