ASCP-UW held their first general meeting on October 12th, 2015 with PediaPUPS. We had a great turn out of students interested in learning about the full circle of life (pediatrics to geriatrics). We even had people sitting on the stairs! At the first general meeting, we went through the different services that ASCP provides to the community such as osteoporosis screenings, brown bag medication reviews, health fairs, and community lectures. We also discussed our annual chapter event, the spring BBQ, and the national event in Las Vegas. Additionally, we talked about a meeting where students get to learn more about obtaining the Plein Certificate. Furthermore, ASCP-UW had a successful first meeting. Thank you to everyone who came to learn about our organization!
