Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. University of California, Berkeley. 2004
Background:
I am a second year graduate student in Dr. John Berg's Interfacial and Colloidal Science Laboratory at the University of Washington. My research interest lies in the field of nano-composite material. We are collaborating with Boeing Inc. to develop a new protective coating for airplane window. This coating is a type of silane network which is known within Boeing as BeoGel. We are attempting to understand the effects that inorganic nano-particles, such as alumina and zinc oxide, might have on mechanical properties of the silane gel.
Teaching Assistant:
During the Winter 2006 quarter, I am a teaching assistant for Dr. Berg's Chemical Engineering 326 Thermodynamic class.
