I am a first-year MS student in Biostatistics. I studied Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at Wuhan University in China for my undergraduate studies.

I am interested in applying statistical methods to solve real-world problems in public health and sociology. My research interests include high-dimensional data, causal inference and targeted maximum likelihood estimation. I have been working with Dr. Noah Simon on matrix completion problems since last fall quarter. Our research mainly focuses on solving matrix completion problems with random noise, using nuclear-norm penalty. The research will further discuss comparisons between methods using nuclear-norm penalty and other types of norm.

I am from Hangzhou, China, a city known for its beatiful natural scenery and technology. It is also the host city of eleventh G-20 summit and 2022 Asian Games. In my spare time, I am a cooking, board-game and outdoor enthusiast.
