Some XT Facts:
I'm a fifth-year graduate student in the department of Anthropology (subdiscipline Environmental Anthropology). My current research focus compares forest management practices and sustainability ideology (and the resultant landscape and biodiversity character) in three adjacent communities in the Oregon Cascades. I am also interested in island ecology and biogeography (particularly Indonesia), primates (particularly the tarsier), and sustainable and traditional building styles. My august and much-respected advisor is Dr. Stevan Harrell (Anthropology), and my equally lauded committee members are Gene Anderson (Anthropology), Tom Hinckley (GSR), Drs. Jerry Franklin (Forestry), Steve West (Forestry) and Devon Pena (Anthropology). Inspirational Image:
Here's a picture of a tarsier eating a self-caught snake (From Niemitz's Biology of Tarsiers): |
