I am a graduate student in the department of Biomedical Informatics & Medical Education at the University of Washington. My advisor is Meliha Yetişgen-Yıldız. Our group website can be found here. Previously, I was an undergraduate student in Bioengineering at University of California, San Diego.
My current research is in the application of natural language processing and machine learning in clinical texts. I am also interested in information extraction, statistical clustering, and data mining, in general.
I like to run, climb, bike, and play badminton, soccer, and basketball. I enjoy travelling and have special predilections for ancient temples or other historical sites, tall moutains+lakes, and all types of mummies (frozen, dried, etc. and humans, mammoths, or otherwise).
