I am a first year PhD student in Biostatistics. I studied applied mathematics at Tongji University in Shanghai for my undergraduate studies and obtained my master degree in Biostatistics at Yale University. I worked with Prof. Forrest Crawford at Yale on diffusion of innovation on social networks. This work won the most outstanding student paper award in WNAR and here is the department news.

I am working with Prof. Ying Qing Chen in Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center about surrogate marker evaluation for time-to-event data. I am also working with Prof. Daniela Witten on additive trend filtering in survival setting. I am interested in sparse models in machine learning and matrix completion problems.

In my free time, I like biking, hiking, skiing, reading, and exploring Seattle.
