The Richard Hugo House on Capitol Hill is described as an urban retreat for writers with both writing resources and literature readings. The House hosts the Castalia readings every first Tuesday of each month. More information can be found on their website.
NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, is a yearly event that happens in November which challenges writers to complete a 50,000 word novel in the entirety of November.
Camp NaNoWriMo follows the same principles that NaNoWriMo does, except with an interesting twist: You're not confined to November! Pick a month, find some camp buddies, and proceed to your targetted word goal for your novel!
