Villa Carlotta

This is Villa Carlotta. Although the villa is at least a couple hundred years old, it was extensively redone by some rich dude in the 19th century to please his wife. When she died young, he made it into a kind of tribute to her and planted extensive gardens. Sitting on the edge of Lake Como it commands spectacular views, as well.
