Marie Attoinette slept here

No, really she did. Sort of. Well, this was her official, state bed--where she would receive guests and such. She actually slept in a slightly less grandiose bed in another room nearby. FYI, Marie Attionette--in fact, no queen of France--ever slept alone. They had at least one woman courtier (and often several) with them at all times. Exceptions were made when the king wished to spend some quality time with his honey but, obviously, she wasn't alone then either.
