| The Pantheon in Paris was built by Louis XIV but became a mausoleum for important dead people during the French Revolution--Voltaire, Rousseau, Emil Zola, and Victor Hugo are buried here. We, however, arrived just as it was closing and Elisabeth, with her well-known fear of heights (hey, this woman jumps out of airplanes for fun) was disinclined to go up and see the view from the cupola. Still, we had some fun there . . . . |
