Trocadero

Looking down from the river side of the Eiffel Tower you see the Trocadero and, in the distance. la Defense (all those skyscrapers. The Trocadero is renown for its fountains and the view it affords of the tower but it was all closed off while we were there in preparation of the Bastille Day festivities. We had lunch in a cafe in the bulding just above the right wing of the big building (the Palais de Chaillot) that embraces the fountains.
