Ask a question. We’ll reply.

We’ll answer your questions in person and or via email. If we don’t have an answer, we’ll do our best to refer you to other resources.

You’ll get direct answers to questions about our experiences during the application process, life as a grad student, etc.. basically things that we’ve been through in grad school thus far.

Thinking about grad school?

Did you take time off before you applied to grad schools? What did you do if you took time off? How did you prepare for the GRE? How many institutions did you apply to? How did you and others dress at the interview? What was the most unexpected question you were asked during the interview? What made you decide to get enrolled at the UW N&B? How difficult was the coursework compared to upper level undergrad courses? How many hours a week do you work in the lab? Do you get a vacation? Do you pay tuition? How much is a stipend? How many more years will it take before you graduate? What are your career plans after getting a Ph.D.?

We’ll share our experiences with you. Each of us will have different answers, so getting replies from several grad students will help you get the feel for what it might be like for you.
