MEETINGS
After each meeting, a brief summary of any important topics/decisions will be posted here, so that you can stay caught up even if something else prevented you from making the meeting. These summaries will be kept up for an undetermined period of time, so you'll still have to be on the ball and involved to catch them.
Meeting times for Spring quarter are Mondays at 3:30pm in Loew 219. The final meeting of the year is: Monday, June 1st, in Loew 219 at 3:30pm.
Tabling times for Spring quarter are Wednesdays from 10:30am-2:30pm.

March 8th Meeting
Earth Day Training! The fabulous Tim came to get us all armed and ready to put on great events for Earth Day! We did hilarious demos, and played interesting but fun games, and learned a TON about how the environment and reproductive health are related, and why everyone wants to get rid of those nasty chemicals that are messing with our bodies. PLUS - we got tabling goodies!
February 25th Meeting
Discussions about next quarter plans, wind-down from Lobby Day and discussions about how that all went. Pizza again! oohlala....
February 18th Meeting
Lobby Day Training! The lovely Tammy was willing to come down from PP and train us all up on the issues, the plan, and the joys of Lobby Day! There was pizza, and a good time was had by all! This included spirted debates about subjects spinning off of Lobby Day! :D
February 4th Meeting
Discussions about The Kane Hall Banner for The Vagina Monologues ensued, along with promotion of Lobby Day and The Vagina Monologues. Everyone is psyched for the big upcoming events!
January 28th Meeting
This week we made the Kane Hall Banner for The Vagina Monologues. There ended up being some questions around the banner, but in the end it went up and no hassles insued. Advertising The Vagina Monologues involves a lot of tape...
January 21st Meeting
Planning for Roe v. Wade Day, along with poster-making (quite colorful and lovely!) and more plans for tabling later in the week. Also, we are continuing our gear up for Lobby Day! Only two days until Movie Night!
January 14th Meeting
Tabling times were decided, along with plans for a Roe v. Wade movie night, Roe v. Wade Anniversary tabling, and getting geared up for Lobby Day! There was lots of food and candy and soda... now if only more people realized that VOX is back in action for the quarter! Alas, but that is an ongoing trial of changing rooms. General admin stuff for the quarter was discussed, and the introductions went around - all that good, first meeting of the quarter, stuff. :D
November 19th Meeting
Renato came and talked with us about STD Awareness Week, of which VOX will be participating (we're doing a Safe Sex Night, Dec. 3rd). We made plans to go be visible and hand out free condoms in Red Square on Friday with Students 4 Choice, as a response to the anti-abortion protesters out there earier. Krista showcased her lovely artistic endeavors for the VM all call for directors/actors. Pretty much a lot of the conversation was focused on VM plans and what we'll need to work on next quarter. We're definitely going to get more tabling done next quarter, so that will be dealt with next time, once everyone has all their schedules set up. Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
November 5th Meeting
Whew, the presidential race is over! This meeting featured Anna and Elisa from PP's education department, to train us all about presenting about sexual issues. The focus was on birth control methods. There were games, food, and general insanity, but it was one of the best meetings yet. It was a crazy fun managerie, and it really seemed like everybody got a chance to have fun and learn something. With any luck Anna and Elisa will come back some time in the future to give us the rundown on STDs/STIs, but for now we're just thrilled they came at all. Next time, all we need is a camera!
October 29th Meeting
We decided on tabling times and focused on vetting posters designed for the Vagina Monolgues (VM) as well as working on our Sex & Ice cream presentation in the Terry dorm. There is currently an all-call out for help designing the posters/fliers for VM auditions and, eventually, the whole show.
October 22nd Meeting
Lots of discussion of Vagina Monologues, Sex Ed Presentations in the dorms, and other upcoming events.
October 8th Meeting
Sign-up sheets went around for tabling, presenting in the dorms, making posters, making fliers, making banners, presenting in FIGs, and a bajillion other things. If you're interested, e-mail uwvox[at]u.washington.edu to get involved. Officers were introduced. Planned Parenthood (PP) locations near UW were discussed. Guest PP speaker, Stacy DeLong (from Public Affairs) talked about the election, what PP is doing and what we can do to help. Feel free to get in touch with your local PP about phone banking before the elections! Margitte talked about The Vagina Monologues. Basically, it was a lot of admin stuff, but also too much important information to possibly post all up on here! So, if you need a recap, again, e-mail us!
There was also yummy, yummy food, that not enough people ate!
