Chapter Spotlight!

Spotlight: Angela Schonber

Miss Greek

Angela Schonberg, an Alpha Lambda freshman, is our house representative for the 21st annual Miss Greek Pageant, held by the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. This pageant benefits the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and has raised nearly $1,000,000 to date in support of this cause! This year, Angela, along with girls from the fifteen other sororities, will try to raise a combined $80,000.

The Alpha Lambda chapter is very proud of Angela and her goal to raise $12,000 for this charity! Angela is "very passionate about this cause and truly honored to be raising money for such a distinguished and prominent corporation." She vows to "work hard to support it as well as she can." The pageant is judged based on philanthropic questions, a beauty walk, and a talent. Fundraising, however, is the largest portion of this pageant, adding up to over half of the contestants cumulative points.

This year's pageant is being held Sunday, April 15th at 6pm in Meany Hall on the University of Washington campus. If you are interested supporting Angela and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, you can help this cause either through a tax-deductible donation or you can purchase tickets to attend the pageant for $10 each! All checks can be made payable to Fred Hutchinson and mailed to Angela Schonberg, Kappa Alpha Theta, 4521 17th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105. For additional information, please contact Angela at Theta (425)760-9284!
