Welcome to the: Tango Club of UW TANGO PARTY THIS SATURDAY br> The Tango Club at UW is hosting a RAVE Milonga A Blacklight Milonga held at the University of Washington: Date: Saturday, April 18, 2009 Time: 9pm-12:00am (Absolute beginner tango lesson taught by Jennifer Olson: 8:30--9:00, NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! But do remember to bring shoes that can slide on the floor so you can turn more easily! Also, they have to stay on your foot; strappy sandals will do better than pumps, and socks are better than flip flops.) We will have to turn people away at the door when we reach capacity. What to wear: Come prepared for the black lights wearing white and anything that glows! What is a milonga?: An Argentine Tango dance party. DJ Nathan Smith will be providing a mix of Alternative and Traditional music Jennifer Olson will be teaching a beginning lesson at 8:30pm, so be sure to check it out! Our aim is to introduce the dance to the students, and to introduce the students to the dance. Seattle has one of the nation's largest Tango community, and we are excited to expose you (UW students) to the possibilities of Argentine Tango. We work closely with The 8th Style School of Tango, located in the University District, which offers half-price discounts for UW students.
