The Tango Club at UW is hosting a RAVE Milonga

A Blacklight Milonga held at the University of Washington:

Date: Saturday, April 18, 2009

Time: 9pm-12:00am

(Absolute beginner tango lesson taught by Jennifer Olson: 8:30--9:00,

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! But do remember to bring shoes that can slide on the floor so you can turn more easily! Also, they have to stay on your foot; strappy sandals will do better than pumps, and socks are better than flip flops.)

There is limited capacity in Parnassus, so come on time! We will have to turn people away at the door when we reach capacity.

What to wear:

Come prepared for the black lights wearing white and anything that glows!

What is a milonga?:

An Argentine Tango dance party.

DJ Nathan Smith will be providing a mix of Alternative and Traditional music

The Argentine Tango is an addictive, creative, fun, and sexy dance. Our aim is to introduce the dance to the students, and to introduce the students to the dance. Seattle has one of the nation's largest Tango community, and we are excited to expose you (UW students) to the possibilities of Argentine Tango.

M101 Weekly lessons start on Thursday, May 14th at 7:30.

M101 +102 Intensives will be on Saturday May 23rd and Sunday May 24th. Mark you calenders!
