Anchor Splash

Delta G's take a lot of pride in our philanthropy, or community service event, known as Anchor Splash®. Anchor Splash is currently the largest philanthropy event amoung sororities at the University of Washington. In 2007, Delta Gamma proudly raised $48,000 for Service for Sight and Aid to the Blind.

Anchor Splash is a month long competition between representative fraternity members and their DG coaches. Each fraternity member and his coaches are responsible for raising money along with other types of competitions in order to earn points. The most popular days of Anchor Splash are Pool Day and Skit Day. On pool day, fraternity members compete in hilarious synchronized swimming and belly flop contests. On Skit Day, all of the points are finally tallied after a final Anchorman flex-off and skit performance. The competitor with the most points at the end of the skits is crowned as the new Delta Gamma Anchorman along with an Anchor Splash Court.

Anchor Splash is an extremely popular event throughout the entire Greek System. Fraternity and sorority members from every house come to see the hard-working Anchormen flex their muscles in hilarious and extravagant skits. DGs know how to have fun while doing good! Recent Anchorman title holders:
