Unified Professional Pharmacy Organization of Washington since 1998

. What is UPPOW .

UPPOW stands for Unified Professional Pharmacy Organizations of Washington and was formed in 1998 as the University of Washington School of Pharmacys (UWSOP) own professional pharmacy student organization. It is directly affiliated with the American Pharmacist Associations Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP) and maintains links with the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA), the Washington State Pharmacists Association (WSPA), and the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists (ASHP). By joining UPPOW, you are joining one umbrella organization that represents all of the students of the UWSOP and provides a balanced view of all aspects of practice. As a UPPOW member you get membership in the national and state organizations named above plus discounts to many student activities throughout the year.

Together, the two national organizations, APhA and ASHP, have over 50,000 pharmacist members and 20,000 student members nationwide. Student membership dues in UPPOW ($90.00) are far cheaper than practitioner dues for all organizations put together ($475), so now is the time to sample each organization and get all of the benefits at a bargain price!
