Amendments
Amendment I – Name Change
As of Wednesday, January 26, 2000, the name of this group is no longer
Clef Notes. The name of this group shall be Unleashed.
Amendment II – Option for Co-Directors
Prior to the election of officers, the active members shall vote to
determine if they position of Music Director and Assistant Music Director
will be replaced by the positions of two Co-Music Directors for the
following year. A majority vote (i.e. greater than fifty-percent) will
determine which positions will be available.
Amendment III – Section Leaders (Option 3)
Section 1 – Determining the Number of Sections
The previous year’s officers will determine the number of sections for
the following school year prior to the May election.
Section 2 – Selection of Section Leaders
The new Music Director (or the Co-Music Directors) will appoint section
leaders based upon the appointee’s musical abilities.
Section 3 – Function of Section Leaders
- Section leaders will lead their respective sectional rehearsals.

Appointed section leaders will have the ability to attend officers
meetings; however they will have no power to vote with the officers.
Section 4 - Removal of Section Leaders
Appointed sections leaders may be removed for just cause (e.g. not
carrying out his or her responsibilities) by a majority vote of the
elected officers or by a majority vote of the active membership.
Amendment IV – Clarification of Active Membership
Section 1 – General
Article IV, Section 1 is amended to clarify who may vote. In order to
vote, active members must have attended at least half of the rehearsals
and/or meetings since joining Unleashed.
Section 2 – Special Dispensation
- Active members who can show just cause for their absence from
rehearsals and/or meetings (e.g. study overseas, co-ops, evening
classes) are waived from the requirement described in Section 1 of
this Amendment.
- The officers, by a majority vote, will resolve any questions about
just cause or the applicability of this amendment.
Section 3 – Elections and Removal
- In Article V, Section 4, “two-thirds (2/3) of the members” refers to the active membership.
- In Article VI, Section 1 “two-thirds (2/3) of the members” refers to the active membership.
