SK-II sea trip Sunday May 25, hopefully gray whales

A few gray whales typically spend much of the spring feeding in the waters near Camano Island (see http://www.orcanetwork.org/sightings/map.html for recent sighting reports). There is a good chance that if we put in at Camano Island State Park and travel south that we will encounter them, if they do not leave in the next few days. This should be an easy trip, 6 to 8 miles at a slow pace, possibly crossing Saratoga Passage to the town of Langley if conditions are light. Approximate schedule would be: meet at WAC at 9 AM, return 4 to 5 PM.

As with any sea trip away from the lake, you must meet these conditions:
a. Be a current club member
b. Have done a sea kayak rescue session within the last year
c. Be a current ACA member (you can quickly renew on-line, if needed)

If you are interested, please reply to me, w a g e n@u.washi... (remove the spaces and complete the domain manually), with the following info:
1. If you meet a-c above
2. If you need a rescue session, could you do it Thursday night @ 6:00? That would be the best night for me.
3. Would you be willing to lead a rescue session, so I don't have to or on another day if not everyone can come on Thursday? If you have done it once or twice before and were paying attention, you can do this!
4. Do you have a car with a rack for boats, or a car that can take the club's rack?
