Class II river trip Monday Nov 12

I'll organize a class II river trip Monday (Veteran's Day holiday), water levels permitting. Meet at the WAC about 10:30 AM. Back about 4 PM.

My first choice would be the lower South Fork of the Snoqualmie. This is not a pure beginners' run, but more advanced-beginner: There is a longer continuous rapid that could be a nuisance if swum at higher flows, and a rock weir that requires some ability to maneuver to the right spot. So, you need to have done Powerhouse or equivalent rivers enough that you are comfortable controlling your boat in the current, and some bracing and rolling skill is desirable. There should be at least a couple of half-way decent surfing spots. I'd like to do this if it's level is between about 350 and 700 cfs, if there is enough interest.

The alternative, if not many people want to do the SF or the level is wrong, would be to do Powerhouse on the main Snoqualmie, our standard beginners run. I'd go there at up to 5000 cfs, although it's not so good for true beginners above about 3500.

If you are interested, tell me which river you prefer, your experience level, and if you have a car that can carry boats. Also include your phone number for Monday morning, since the decision of which river may not be made until I check the water level on Monday. If I haven't made the choice by 9 PM Sunday night, I'll call anyone who needs notice about 9
AM on Monday.
