2007-2008 Executive Board Position Descriptions
Business
Week Co-Chair (Benjamin Wood)
Planning and facilitating all details of UW Business Week, running all
meetings, overseeing and supporting the work of Lead Strategist, VP
Community Service, VP Finance and Webmaster.
Community/Faculty
Relations Co-Chair (Xayachuck Toan Viradet)
Organization and facilitation of Faculty/Staff of the Quarter nominations
and awards, promoting UBC to faculty and the community at large as needed,
running all meetings, overseeing and supporting the work of VP Marketing,
VP Communications, VP Finance and Webmaster.
Lead
Strategist (Justin Ricaurte)
Charged with developing a five-year plan for growth within UBC. Also
involved with developing programming ideas, fundraising possibilities
and other duties as assigned. Reports directly to Business Week Co-Chair.
VP
of Marketing (Xue Ma)
In charge of all marketing strategies and materials for UBC run events
and meetings, including development and distribution of flyers, posters,
and other materials. Other duties as assigned. Reports directly to Community/Faculty
Relations Co-Chair.
VP
Communications (Datev Salibian)
Prime point of all UBC communications. This position will check and
respond to emails to/from the UBC account, keep an up-to-date email
list for communications with UBC reps and student organizations, and
compile meeting minutes and agendas for all UBC meetings. Other duties
as assigned. Reports directly to Community/Faculty Relations Co-Chair.
VP
Community Service (Kathie Pham)
Link to community wide events and opportunities. This position will
organize at least one Business School wide community service event per
quarter, as well as assisting other student organizations in finding
potential service opportunities. Other duties as assigned. Reports directly
to Business Week Co-Chair.
VP
Finance (Ashley Farnsworth)
In charge of all UBC budgeting and spending. Will be co-signer on UBC
bank account along with Student Activities Adviser. Must present expenditures
and fundraising totals to Executive Board and membership quarterly and
upon request. Other duties as assigned. Reports directly to both Co-Chairs.
Webmaster
(Zsa Zsa Baysa)
Develops and maintains all UBC web-based communications, including the
university-sponsored website, any Facebook event/group pages and other
resources to be developed. Other duties as assigned. Reports directly
to both Co-Chairs.
