Foster Week of Service 2013!

It’s here again! The Foster Week of Service is in action, and as always, we’re excited to see what Foster can do for its community. From clothing drives, to tutoring elementary school students, to dodgeball (yep, dodgeball!), Foster has found all kinds of ways to embrace its philanthropic spirit! So on behalf of UBC and BEDC LT, thank you to all the organizations in Foster for contributing to another busy Week of Service!

Are you looking to do your part? We have an up-to-date calendar of all of the events in the Week of Service. In fact, you can check out this calendar at any time of the year to see events put on by one any our fabulous Foster RSOs. Go take a look!

So, the world didn’t end in 2012…

It’s a new year, so that means a new quarter, and most importantly, a new blog post. So welcome back! We hope everyone enjoyed their Winter Break. Is it too late to give gifts? Because we have several for you right here!

First, if you haven’t seen our calendar, it’s worth checking out. It lists the events being put on by Foster’s numerous RSOs. If you’re new to the business school and looking to get involved, then this is a great resource. If you’re part of an organization and are looking to collaborate with other organizations, then this is a fantastic resource.

Second, we have uploaded the template for Foster PowerPoint presentations. Give your PowerPoint the class and Foster swagger that it deserves. Head on over to our Resource page to download it.

Our third gift is for the club officers: did you miss an All-Club meeting? You did?! Relax, we’ve got your back. Our new All-Club page will have the minutes from every meeting available for download. But don’t interpret this as a “Get Out of Jail Free” card – a representative from each RSO is still expected at all three of our meetings each quarter.

That’s all the gifts we have for now. Enjoy your winter quarter!

UBC is back, baby.

School is back in session!

And it has been for two months… Sorry about the delay! But UBC is still kickin’. We’ve updated our website’s look. You like it? Let us know what you think!

We’ve got a new executive board now, so while you’re here, check out our sexy new headshots.

Wondering what events Foster’s clubs have coming up? Then you should probably take a gander at our Foster RSO calendar.

Oh did we mention that tomorrow, Wednesday, November 14th, is our Blood Drive? It’ll be in Deloitte Commons, and we’re giving out homemade cookies to keep that blood sugar nice and high. So come stop by! Save a life, eat a cookie.

That’s all for now. But expect to hear a lot more from us real soon.
