Affordable Tuition Now! (ATN) was founded with the purpose removing financial barriers to higher education at the University of Washington (UW) and at institutions around the state of Washington. ATN works on behalf of the students of the University of Washington by advocating sensible tuition rates, quality financial aid, and adequate funding of colleges at both the state and federal level(s).

Since its founding in 1999, ATN has maintained a quarterly membership of over 5,000 UW students, undergraduate and graduate. Each quarter members affirm their membership by contributing two dollars to ATN.

The general management and policy of ATN is controlled by a board of directors. Every member of ATN is eligible and encouraged to run for one of the many positions on the board of directors Each director serves a one year term which generally lasts from November 1st through October 31st. Elections occur every October for at least seven days via an online voting system.
