Social Life

One of the most appealing aspects of a sorority is its Social Life, and here at Tri Delta we strive to have one of the best social atmospheres on campus! There are many different Areas of social life in the Greek system all geared towards improving relations within the Greek Community as a whole and also within our own Chapter. Our strong social bond is shown through our yearly participation in many Greek wide and Campus wide events. These are a few social activities we participate in:

Sisterhoods: One of Tri Delta's main purposes is promoting lifelong bonds of friendship and sisterhood. Sisterhoods are Delta's only events that are planned for Tri Delta members only and are held within the chapter and outside as well. These events give the women an opportunity to come together in a fun social atmosphere that is created to improve friendships and building new ones as well. Some events in the past and annually have been:

Game Works night at the Arcade

Regular Movie Nights
Shopping Downtown Seattle
Boat Trips on the sound
BBQ's on Delta Beach

Grab-a-Dates & Exchanges: These fun filled events are always happening with every Chapter here on campus. They give Sorority Women and Fraternity Men a chance to get to know one another, while building strong relationships within the Greek Community. Many times Sororities will pair up with Fraternities and host an exchange event. These events range from Baseball games to BBQ's and even renting out comedy clubs for the night. Exchanges can also be between two sororities as well. Grab-a-dates are a little more centered on one chapter hosting an event, and each chapter member gets to invite one guest to participate in the event with them.

Formals/Dance Functions: We hold three dances throughout the year, one each quarter. The Fall Quarter is usually directed towards the new freshmen and is a semi-formal dance held somewhere downtown Seattle. The next dance held during the Winter Quarter is a formal/semi-formal dance held somewhere a little more local. The third dance during Spring Quarter is a themed dance usually held at a fun location.

Last year we went on a cruise for spring dance and it was a nautical theme. Also in the past we have hosted dances at the zoo with an animal/jungle theme.
Usually Fraternities host dances every quarter as well that many women of Tri Delta attend. Over the past year many women have gone to Vancouver, Canada, Seaside, Oregon, downtown Seattle for the night, down to Portland, Oregon, Leavenworth, Washington, and many other fun locations.
