Giant Pacific Octopus
Octopus dolfleini
We only encountered small giant Pacific octopuses. The largest had a head about the size of a softball, so definitely not mature yet. It makes me wonder if the larger ones are seldom found in the Bering Sea, or if they avoided the net.
